Advocating for Safer Beauty for Our 5th Anniversary

For the month of March, we are celebrating our 5th anniversary by advocating for safer beauty. At Beautycounter, advocacy is an important part of who we are. Using our voice to advocate for change is one of the ways we are working to fulfill our mission of bringing safer products into the hands of everyone.

Since day one, we have decided to be forthright and outspoken in our advocacy efforts. This approach not only applies to the ways we engage politicians and lawmakers, but also to our broader community of Clients and Consultants. We believe to be successful, our consumers must be given the opportunity to actively participate in the social change that we are working toward.

This past weekend, alongside of 1,500 Independent Consultants, we made huge strides in the name of safer beauty. We took our movement to Members of Congress and Parliament and urged the passing of more health protect laws in the personal care industry. We couldn’t be more proud of our incredible community standing beside us, advocating for a mission that is so important to us.

In our meetings, we asked our Members of Congress to pass the most health protective legislation possible for the personal care products industry. We educated elected officials on the need for greater transparency regulations, and the importance of removing harmful ingredients from the products that we use every day.

We also were able to share our story on the national stage, with incredible features on both The Today Show and NPR.
