At Beautycounter, we are dedicated to getting safer products into the hands of everyone. A large part of this effort involves partnering with cancer organizations. While treatments are mentally and physically taxing to cancer patients, they also tend to leave their skin incredibly dry.
That’s where Beautycounter comes in. We know that our facial oils are incredibly nourishing, so we launched a Shop One, Share One program and donated 4,000 of our best-selling mini facial oil gift sets to patients currently undergoing cancer treatments at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC). The JCCC serves 20,000 patients per year, and is internationally known for delivering the best in experimental and traditional cancer treatments. It provides breakthrough therapies to patients, and its clinical research educates healthcare professionals and the public alike, while also reaching out to underserved communities, making the organization an ideal partner for us.
Included in every gift set was a card with tips for using the facial oils, as well as suggestions for other skin-friendly ingredients that people can find at their local market. We’ve included them below so you can try them, too.
Everyday ways to use our oils (plus some other moisturizing hacks):
For a hint of natural radiance, gently massage a few drops of Beautycounter facial oil into clean skin before applying makeup.
Boost Your Moisturizer
Add three or four drops of a Beautycounter facial oil to your daily moisturizer to give dull or tired skin a quick pick-me-up.
Coconut oil is extremely hydrating—and you can find it at any grocery store. Use it to soothe lips or dry spots. You can also use it to soften cuticles.
Massage a few drops of jojoba oil (found at most natural food stores) into the skin to dissolve makeup, then wipe clean with a damp cotton pad or washcloth.
