At Beautycounter, we tip our hat to other companies dedicated to supporting their community—like our latest discovery, London-based hat business Yosuzi. Founded by Yosuzi Sylvester, this brand makes whimsical, stylish chapeaus designed in collaboration with Guajiro Indian craftsmen in Venezuela. Each piece, made of 100% Iraka palm straw, takes about eight hours to weave and is embellished with charming accents, such as multicolored pom-poms.
These chic accessories help provide economic sustainability for artisans, and even better, sales benefit the community as well. A portion of each hat sale goes to CEPIN, a non-profit dedicated to the health, clothing, and education for Guajiro Indian children.
